Elements Class

The Elements Class at CrossFit Empirical (Fort Lauderdale) is a one day class to help athletes learn the basic movements most commonly encountered in CrossFit workouts.  This is your opportunity to become familiar with the movements so you will safe, confident, and ready to go in our classes. This class is by appointment ONLY. We limit the number of athletes in each Elements course in order to provide the most personal attention as you learn. Our overarching goal is that we want you to practice safe and effective movements in CrossFit that also transfer over into other areas in your life.

After the Elements class is completed you will have one month to attend as many classes as you would like to get a feel for our coaches, athletes, and environment before committing to a regular monthly membership. In Elements class, you will be exposed to and practice basic exercises, see examples below:

  • Squats (air, front, back, overhead)
  • Push-Ups (strict, hand-stand)
  • Pull-Ups
  • Sit-Ups (Sit-Ups, Toes to Bar, Knees to Elbow)


  • Kettlebell Swing
  • Jump-Rope
  • Box Jump
  • Dead Lift


  • Presses (Strict, Push Press, Push Jerk, Thruster)
  • Dips
  • Wall Ball
  • Burpees


  • Cleans
  • Snatches
